We’re proud of every project we have completed for our community. But some homes have stood out to the local industry, as representative of the highest standards of design, craftsmanship and attention to detail.

We didn’t win these awards on our own. They represent our ability to realise the aspirations of our clients, execute the creativity of their design team and work in partnership with a team of industry experts to represent the exceptional levels of quality, precision and technique we demand of ourselves and everyone we work with.

This stunning St Andrews Hill home replaces the much-loved 1932 bungalow that sat in its place before the earthquakes. With modern features and an open-plan living space, the elegant abode has been designed to last its owners a lifetime.

Upon entry, guests are greeted by a show-stopping solid American Blonde Oak floating staircase, back lit by warm, inviting LED lights. Upstairs, a truly beautiful panoramic view of Canterbury – from the Kaikouras to Mount Hutt and beyond – welcomes guests to the cantilevered indoor-outdoor living area and spacious kitchen.

The balcony’s glass doors can be slid right back to create a seamless transition between the kitchen and the outdoor living space, while the cedar-lined ceiling processes a flow-on effect from the exterior soffits towards the open-plan kitchen area. The kitchen itself is a home cook’s dream, with a large island bench and generous breakfast bar attached. Behind, sits a large pantry, which holds a second sink and fridge.

Like the rest of the home, the generously sized bedrooms are full of light. The owners’ flair for design and fashion is catered for in the master bedroom’s walk-in wardrobe, where a corner carousel for shoes and storage stands out as a key, personal feature of the house.

Easy access throughout the home was a priority for the owners. Each bathroom is sleek but practical, with plenty of floor space and wide access to showers and toilets. On the lower level in the triple garage is a lift – which provides a direct connection to the upper level.A secret door at the end of the upper balcony leads to a spa and sauna courtyard, which also opens to a raised vegetable garden and alcove.

This fine Fendalton home was built for modern family living. The generous 344sqm footprint makes great use of its suburban site. With three bedrooms, three bathrooms, three living areas and a large double garage, there’s no shortage of space here. Numerous outdoor areas are designed for entertaining and everyday relaxation.

The swimming pool will keep kids occupied through many a summer. Indoor-outdoor flow is a cornerstone of the design. The interior exudes practical yet sophisticated style. The sense of space swells in the open plan with its high ceiling. A glazed-in bridge serves the top storey while offering a bird’s eye view to the kitchen on one side and

the open-air lounge on the other. The ground floor has been beautifully designed with connected family living in mind. Glass sliders offer subtle separation when needed. The contemporary kitchen is a modern gem complete with light-filled scullery. Warming wood floors foster a lovely natural feel that connects to the home’s decking and cedar details.

An earthquake-ravaged character bungalow in Christchurch has been replaced with this Sumner stunner. The modern family home shares the exact envelope and footprint of the original residence, but that’s where the similarities end.

The contemporary design has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a garage positioned on the ground floor. The master with large ensuite provides a sanctuary for the owners to relax in at the end of the day. Both bathrooms exude a stylish simplicity. A freestanding bathtub offers a view of the stars at night. Great for socialising, two interconnecting living areas reside upstairs, taking full advantage of beach and cliff views. The “beach house” feel is reinforced with full-height glazing that floods the living spaces with natural light. An entertainer’s paradise, the modern kitchen caters to all kinds of occasions. A large island bench sets the scene for family and friends

to sit and talk while preparations are underway. When the night is over, the dishes can be easily tucked away in the butler’s pantry and dealt with in the morning. Plenty of storage keeps the contemporary space clutter-free. The views are a bonus. Balconies at either end of the living space provide shelter from the wind or offer all-day sun. Dining alfresco is easy and enjoyable. The exterior is characterised by two contrasting cladding elements. The north-facing Linea spine wall provides interest and a focal point that leads the eye from road access to entry. Thin projecting roof elements reduce bulk, making the house look as if it’s sitting delicately on its site.
